Tech businesses across the Humber are being urged to nominate their top young talent as the deadline for the Top 30 Under 30 looms.

The awards, which recognise the best employees under the age of 30, are back for their third year, with nominations already flooding in.

Hull & Humber Top 30 Under 30 founder Simon Jones said with just over a month to go until the deadline for entries, he was particularly on the lookout for the region’s best young digital minds.

He said: “This year I have got one eye on the digital sector in the region. The reason for that is a lot of businesses in that industry are still fairly newly-established.

“It would be brilliant to see people who have started out in their careers in the digital sector. There are a lot of buildings – like Hull’s C4DI – which are packed with some brilliant talent.

“It would also be good to see some nominations from people who are doing digital things in a traditional business. You look at some of the big talking points in the region – the Waterline Campaign being one of them – and the solution to a lot of challenges is always based around innovation and R&D.”

Now into its third year, the Hull and Humber Top 30 Under 30 awards are back for 2020.

Last year’s cohort of winners included employees from some of Hull’s biggest businesses, including KCOM, Ideal Boilers, MKM, Rollits and Intergreen.
