A Hull family cleaning firm has set its sights on growth after it bounced back from a double tragedy.

Cleansure Ltd, based at The Deep Business Centre, recently expanded its commercial cleaning business to include full facilities management.

The business works with the likes of Spencer Group at Humber Quays in Hull, and Heron Foods’ distribution centre at Melton, taking care of their buildings.

It’s fair to say however, that the flourishing firm was borne out of challenging circumstances.

Cleansure was formed in 2017, more than four years after owner Janet Green and son Julian sold Ben Green & Associates, which counted ABP, P&O Ferries and KCOM among its blue-chip clients.

The decision to sell the successful business was prompted by the death in 2006 of Janet’s husband Ben, with son Julian almost losing his life to a stroke in 2012.

As Julian recovered, mother and son decided to try again and brought in former colleague Anne O’Brien as operations manager.

Cleansure is now going from strength to strength, and in August last year the pair were joined by another director, Andrew Fox, who built up The Fox Group having started his career as a jobbing window cleaner.
