Housing developer seeks land to build more homes in Staffordshire

Elan Homes is appealing to landowners with sites for development potential to come forward

Elan Homes is looking for additional land to build on the success of its Brook Meadow developments in Loggerheads, Staffordshire

A housing developer is on the look out for land so it can build more homes in Staffordshire.

Elan Homes says it is keen to "acquire additional land with development potential" following the success of its latest housing development in Loggerheads.

All of the properties at the company's 78-home Brook Meadow scheme are almost sold out.

Sales director Marie Morris said: "When we acquired the land off Mucklestone Road back in 2018 there had been no new homes built in Loggerheads for a decade.

"Brook Meadow has now become somewhere people aspire to live, with buyers drawn by the benefits of a new build home and the community spirit within the village.

"There has been a surge in enquiries in the wake of the pandemic as people have reconsidered their priorities and are looking to move out of towns and cities such as Newcastle and Stoke-on-Trent to somewhere that offers a better work-life balance.

"The final countdown of homes is now underway and, despite the limited availability, we're continuing to receive enquiries from people keen to live here. To help meet that ongoing demand and to ensure there's a future housing supply in the area we are committed to acquiring new sites and are keen to hear from landowners with sites with development potential."
