House-builder invests £13m in East Midlands and announces new site acquisitions

Cameron Homes reveals expansion plans after 12 months at Castle Donington base

An award-winning house-builder has marked its first anniversary of moving into the East Midlands by announcing further expansion.

Family-owned company Cameron Homes opened a new office in Castle Donington in October last year and has since enjoyed a successful past 12 months.

Cameron builds new homes throughout central England. When it opened, the East Midlands division one of a number of new regional offices to be opened by the firm.

Regional director Steve Cassie said: “We launched our East Midlands division to facilitate growth into Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire – investing around £13 million into the region in our initial year here.

“It has been a very good first 12 months in business, with new jobs being created both in the office and on site, and we are continuing to recruit, with a range of vacancies outlined on our website.”

According to Mr Cassie, the company has a number of ongoing developments - and plenty more in the pipeline after acquiring sites in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

He said: “We have four successful new housing developments underway in Aston on Trent, Brailsford, Hulland Ward and Repton, which are all in Derbyshire.

“In addition, there are plans to open a further development in Breedon on the Hill in the early part of 2020.
