The company said it was looking to increase its workforce from around 50 to “well over 70â€, including adding new staff at its head office in Weston-super-Mare, in order to drive “ambitious plans†for further growth.

Regency said there were also opportunities to work with the business across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, with a focus on major areas such as London, Liverpool and The Midlands, while it was also looking to expand into the Republic of Ireland.

Managing director Alex Demetriou said: “The past few years have been particularly challenging for the hospitality and leisure industry, and more and more businesses have recognised the benefits and value we can bring to them.

“Our growth is a testament to the confidence our clients have in us and their appreciation of our expertise and support. This is an extremely exciting time to be joining us, and through this large-scale recruitment drive, we hope to attract a new and diverse range of talent to help us achieve, and hopefully exceed, our ambitious growth targets.â€

Regency was acquired at the start of this year by Foodbuy Europe, a subsidiary of FTSE-100 catering group Compass.

The company counts South West brewery and publican Butcombe Brewing and bowling chain Superbowl º£½ÇÊÓƵ among the companies it works with, as well as hundreds of golf clubs, hotels, zoos, and family attractions.
