Heeco worker who lost job when Hull firm collapsed lands role at Inspec Systems

Faizal Patel has arrived at Inspec, based in Freightliner Road, as its new business development manager

Faizal Patel has joined Inspec as its new business development manager.

A former Heeco employee who lost his job when the historic Hull engineering firm slumped into administration has been snapped by Inspec Systems Ltd.

Faizal Patel has arrived at Inspec, based in Freightliner Road, as its new business development manager.

With over a decade of experience working for major companies worldwide, Inspec moved quickly to hire Faizal when Heeco collapsed in June.

Heeco had been operating for 111 years when it stopped trading with immediate effect last month, leaving almost 50 people out of work.

Phil Edgerton, technical director at Inspec, said: “Faizal’s skills as an engineering salesman are pivotal to the continued development and growth here at Inspec.

“As Hull’s best kept secret we look forward to working with Faizal to get Inspec’s name out there to drive the company forward.”

Faizal, who has a technical background with a BEng in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering, is an engineering sales specialist with over 10 years’ experience working across a variety of industries including oil and gas, mining and marine.

After leaving Heeco, he has now joined Inspec, and said he hoped to become “a key asset” in its future growth.
