A national healthcare trust provider has opened a new Bristol office as it prepares for a prosperous year.

Healix Health Services, which is headquartered in Surrey, has welcomed 75 employees to its Temple Quay office, with plans to create a further 50 jobs in the city across the next year. The new office by Bristol's harbour includes an open plan meeting with ergonomic workstations and employee breakout rooms.

The Bristol-based team will consist of health claims assessors who will be responsible for the delivery of a quick and effective claims management service for Trust members. Trust administration will continue to be managed on a wider level from the company headquarters in Esher, Surrey.

Chief executive, Ian Talbot, said: “We’re thrilled to have expanded into Bristol after experiencing record growth for our services, with turnover increasing by over 80% in the last 18 months.

Mr Talbot added: “At the same time, NHS waiting lists have reached record levels, leading people to look to their employers for healthcare support.
