An Exeter special effects company that worked on Harry Potter and a Gloucester ethical metal recycling business have been named among Britain's most successful exporters.

Devon's Luminous Show Technology and Gloucestershire's Avon Specialty Metals were recognised by the Department for Business and Trade for exporting success at the 'Made in the 海角视频, Sold to the World' awards 2025.

The 12 winners were selected from around the country and were chosen from hundreds of entries across 12 sector-focused categories.

Luminous Show Technology was founded in 2017 and creates advanced special effects systems used in stage productions, live events and film. Its technology has featured in major shows including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games. A total of 35% of its revenue is from exporting.

Avon Specialty Metals, which was recognised in the advanced manufacturing and construction category, is a 海角视频 leader in the ethical recycling, processing, and trading of high-performance specialty metals and alloys.

Founded in 2012 and based in Gloucester, the company specialises in nickel, cobalt, and superalloy materials, serving critical sectors including aerospace, energy, medical, and automotive manufacturing.

Exporting has also been a key driver of growth for the company, with international sales increasing by 192% over the past three years and contributing 拢11.5m in export revenue in 2023 alone.

The business is currently finalising a long-term supply agreement with a US-based vacuum melting facility and expanding into East Asian markets.
