A growing furniture manufacturer which has doubled in size in the last 12 months has opened a brand new showroom in Stoke-on-Trent.

Since its launch in 2018, Fittingly has outgrown two sites – in Stoke and Cresswell – after seeing an increasing demand for its specialist, made-to-measure furniture.

In the last year alone, the company – which moved to a new base in Fenton in August 2020 – has doubled its headcount and now boasts a team of 30 staff, and a network of contractors across the country.

Now, as it approaches capacity at its King Street site, Fittingly has opened a brand new showroom and office space at the nearby Phoenix Works complex.

Alex Johnson – who started the business with Marty Day and Steve Mrozek – said: "Part of the reason for our new showroom was because we were looking for a larger premises in the city but we struggled to find something which was the right size.

"So we decided that the next best thing would be to open an additional site, which is just a short distance away from our factory, for our office staff and a new showroom which meant we could expand our existing manufacturing space."

Steve added: "We are an online only business, but we often have people asking if they can see our products before buying them. In some cases we have even had customers travelling from as far as Scotland to come and see what was essentially just a factory.
