Hull's new film and TV studios have officially opened their doors, and given visitors a first glimpse inside.
Northern Films & TV Studios, in , hopes to attract some of the biggest names in entertainment and boasts the latest CGI, green screen and film technology.
Owned by Andrew Fenton – also director at InterTech Media – the new studios gave visitors a glimpse into the showbiz industry when it opened its doors at a special event last week.
A selection of film sets were set up, from inside a ship to a Christmas-themed house scene.
Blair Jacobs, executive producer at Northern Films & TV, said: “The company has been created to provide local television, film and drama for a regional audience.
“The building though, is a lot more than that. It is unique in the area – you need to go to Leeds to find something similar.
“What we want to provide is a turnkey solution for marketing and advertising agencies, and film makers.
“We want to attract the companies from places like London, which would spend a fortune on hiring the personnel, kit and space to film.”
