Full list of when every business can re-open after lockdown in England

There's a lot of dates floating about along the route out of lockdown - here is the plan for when every business can open in the months ahead

Boris Johnson's is set to begin on March 8 when schools re-open and people can meet one other outdoors again for socialising other than exercise.

The relaxing of restrictions are tentative and dependent on four tests being met:

  • The vaccine deployment programme continues successfully
  • Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths
  • Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS
  • Risks are not changed by new variants of Covid

England remains in national lockdown until the guidance within the rouemap, called comes into effect.

The tier system will not return and these rules apply everywhere in England but all are subject to change.

Step 1 - from 8 March

Businesses permitted to open during lockdown remain the same.

In addition, businesses eligible to host childcare and supervised activities for children (such as community centres or libraries) will be able to host these activities for children providing that they are necessary to enable parents to work, seek work, attend education, seek medical care, or attend a support group.
