Four North East businesses have been recognised among the 海角视频鈥檚 top 100 employers.
The Sunday Times publishes its lists of the Best Companies to Work For every year, with separate rankings for large, mid-sized companies, SMEs and not-for-profit organisations.
The lists are put together by employee engagement specialists Best Companies, which surveys an organisation鈥檚 workforce to examine the ins-and-outs of company life.
The 100 Best Companies to Work for 2020 features three businesses from the region 鈥 Hays Travel, which last year took over all of the 海角视频鈥檚 Thomas Cook shops, energy consultancy Utility Alliance, and training organisation Learning Curve.
NCFE has also been named as one of the best not-for profit organisations.

County Durham based training organisation Learning Curve made it into number 95 on the list.

Our employee count has grown significantly since last year and given that it鈥檚 the staff who submit feedback for this award it is incredible that even with significant growth we continue to be an amazing place to work.

Directors at Utility Alliance, which is based at Quorum Business Park, with offices in Hartlepool and Sheffield, said they were thrilled to be named in 40th position.
In the same competition last year, the company was ranked as 55th.
Bob Moore, managing director at Utility Alliance, said: 鈥淥nce again we were delighted to be able to rub shoulders with some of the biggest businesses in the 海角视频 at last night鈥檚 event, and it is something which gives us a great deal of satisfaction.
鈥淟ast year we were over the moon to be ranked in 55th place, so it goes without saying there is a sense of pride at having bettered that.鈥
Meanwhile, NCFE, whose head office is in Newcastle, was placed at number 26 in the 2020 list of the Best Not鈥揊or鈥揚rofit Organisations to Work For.

Placing 15 spaces higher up the list than last year, 2020 marks the 11th year in a row that NCFE has received recognition from Best Companies and The Sunday Times as one of the 海角视频鈥檚 top not-for-profit companies to work for.

Best Companies produces its lists to measure and acknowledge excellence in workplace engagement.
Each year hundreds of organisations from a wide range of industries use the employee survey to measure the engagement of their employees. The responses from these surveys are collated and combined to produce an overall engagement score for each organisation.
