Forrester Academy performing arts school buys new Leicestershire base with HSBC backing

Melton business previously had to rent space in schools and community centres to host its dance, music and wellness classes

Jumping for joy at Forrester Academy performing arts school

The owners of a performing arts school have bought new premises thanks to a £252,000 commercial mortgage from HSBC º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Lex and Suzanne Forrester, the husband and wife team who own the Forrester Academy, have purchased a purpose-built studio called Space 2B, in the north Leicestershire town of Melton Mowbray.

The business had previously had to rent space in schools and community centres to host its dance, music and wellness classes.

Lex and Suzanne said that had limited the amount of classes they could host, giving them no guarantee of sustained income and leading to inconsistent training for their students.

They said the new studio removed that uncertainty, and meant they could put on a regular calendar of activities each week.

Suzanne said: “Not only has our new studio streamlined our business processes, it’s made such a positive impact on the local community.

“Many of our students come from local schools who we already have great relationships with from our time teaching at different venues.

“Thanks to our relationship manager at HSBC º£½ÇÊÓƵ Steve Eames we’re now able to offer our students a clear timetable of activity at one central location.
