Former Lord Mayor appointed president of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Michael Mainelli, who served as the 732nd Lord Mayor of London from 2023 to 2024, has been named president of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has named Michael Mainelli, former Lord Mayor of the City of London, as its new president. Mainelli served in the prestigious role from 2023 to 2024 and currently presides over the Z/Yen think tank, which he established in 1994.

The ex-Lord Mayor boasts a distinguished career, with key positions formerly held at BDO Binder Hamlyn, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, and the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ Ministry of Defence, as reported by .

In addition to his honorary position at Middle Temple and directorship at the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, Mainelli continues to represent the Broad Street Ward as an alderman.

An expert author as well, he expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "It’s a privilege to take on the role of president of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry particularly at such a crucial time for London’s business community. Our capital is a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, and I look forward to working with LCCI members to foster an environment in which businesses of all sizes can thrive."
