Former Google director and BYPY winner to speak at RethinkMedia 2015

Birmingham City University's third annual digital media conference will focus on emerging trends in the sector

A former director of Google and the current holder of Birmingham Young Professional of the Year are among the guest speakers at (BCU) 2015 Rethink Media event.

Frank Golding used to advise the internet search giant on product, sponsorship and creative strategy projects, having initially joined Google as YouTube's head of sport for North America.

Jodie Cook is founder and managing director of Birmingham-based agency JC Social Media which provides social media management, training and audits for companies.

She is also co-founder of Clever Tykes, a set of storybooks which aim to introduce children to positive entrepreneurial role models.

Mrs Cook and regularly speaks at universities and colleges about social media and enterprise.

The 2015 Rethink Media event is the third hosted by BCU and will again focus on what is next for digital media and current trends.

It will be hosted by Jason Bradbury, a familiar face to viewers of Channel 5 programme The Gadget Show.

Other confirmed speakers include the director of BBC Future Media Ralph Rivera, blogger Lily Pebbles, radio futurologist James Cridland, chief creative officer at Somethin’ Else Paul Bennun and Rahul Chakkara, director of digital with Talk Talk.
