A IT firm executive who oversaw a dramatic rise in the company's turnover has been appointed to a new role.

Mary Hunter, who was managing director of digital solutions group Columbus º£½ÇÊÓƵ, has been named the new Columbus Global chief people officer.

Mrs Hunter, who was named the Nottingham Post's Businesswoman of the Year 2018, will take on her role in January.

Making the announcement, Columbus's CEO, Thomas Honoré, said: "Mary Hunter has led the growth of our most successful business unit, growing our º£½ÇÊÓƵ business from 13 people to a dedicated team of circa 250 people living the strong customer-centric Columbus culture.

"I am very pleased that Mary Hunter has taken on the responsibility to take our organisation to the next level."

Mrs Hunter has led the IT firm, whose º£½ÇÊÓƵ headquarters is in Nottinghamshire, since 2002.

The business's revenue has continued to grow since she joined, with turnover rising from £2 million to £25 million in its latest accounts.
