Evri has posted record-breaking performance figures driven by a surge in second-hand sellers utilising the logistics firm's services.

The parcel delivery business, which private equity house Apollo purchased from Advent International in 2024 for £2.7bn, disclosed that volumes climbed 11 per cent in the year to 1 March, 2025, surpassing 807m parcels, as reported by .

Package deliveries have jumped 25 per cent over the past two years, the company noted.

Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 17 per cent to £341m.

The firm which has its head office in Leeds, attributed its expansion to consumer-to-consumer platforms such as eBay and Vinted, as the "mega-trend" in online second-hand trading continues its remarkable growth.

Evri CEO Martijn de Lange highlighted that these "behaviour changes" have been accelerated by "scroll and spend social commerce sites such as TikTok's shop."

"We continue to meet increased demand for customer-to-customer deliveries for online marketplaces... Evri's tech-enabled convenience is equipping a growing army of bedroom CEOs who are shaping the future of ecommerce," de Lange said.

Returns expert Al Gerrie has described scroll-shopping as "equivalent to QVC" and the driving force behind "quite a lot of impulse buys."
