A new ‘boutique’ estate agency has opened in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and its founder is promising to ‘modernise’ the real estate sector.
Adam Sutton Estates was due to open its doors on Jamaica Street in March but due to lockdown the opening was postponed until last week when it finally opened for business with a broad portfolio of properties for sale across the city region.
The business was founded by 27-year-old Adam Sutton who has 10 years experience working in property and has spent the previous three years working for a Canary Wharf estate agency where he sold luxury properties to the rich and famous.
He returned to Liverpool last year with the ambition to use his experiences in London to launch his own business specialising in high end residential properties.
Adam Sutton said: “Real estate is in my blood. I grew up around it and then spent a number of years learning the trade in London. It has always been my ambition to open my own estate agency and I am delighted to be doing it in my home city.
“The Baltic area is a thriving, dynamic community and it is the perfect location for Adam Sutton Estates.
“We are the first estate agency to open in the Baltic area and we are the only residential sales office in Liverpool. We don’t do lettings, we just focus our time and energy into the clients that want to sell and buy.”
He continued: “We are not your typical estate agency and we are intending to modernise the real estate sector.

“For a start, we will be using more digital technology to showcase homes to would-be buyers by doing professional video tours free of charge for every property listed.
“We are already offering virtual valuations, virtual reality on new builds and we have introduced virtual viewings given the impact of the current pandemic on the sector.
“Social media will be playing a huge role in how we sell houses.
“We’ve been open for one week and already we’ve sold a property via Instagram.
“The real estate sector needs to embrace the digital age. A major focus for us will be on digital marketing and so our clients properties stand out from the crowd in a very competitive market. We are a new generation estate agency.”
Adam says launching a business in the middle of a pandemic has been “terrifying” but there’s been a huge demand from clients especially first-time buyers.

He added: “We were due to open on March 23 - a day after I recruited our sales manager.
“Instead, we have focused on the digital aspect of the business while we waited for government guidance on when we can open.
“It’s been exciting to open our doors and we’re already receiving instructions.
“It is still a buyers market with first-time buyers eager to snap up their first homes. They’re happy to do virtual walk throughs where they get a good idea of what the property looks like.
“It’s a different way to do business, but we’ve all had to adapt.”
