A successful entrepreneur who founded a business hub which aims to attract more firms to Derby has hailed its success following more new arrivals.

Back in 2012, Kavita Oberoi launched the Oberoi Business Hub on Pride Park, which is designed to help and encourage both start-ups and growing businesses.

Since then, a thriving business company has established itself at the hub, which provides tenants with a range of managed services, including serviced offices, virtual offices, virtual PAs, call answering, fulfilment and mail handling.

The offices provide space for between one and 15 people, have car parking spaces, flexible office room layouts, a managed reception, meeting rooms, informal workspace area, superfast broadband, air-conditioning and can come furnished or unfurnished.

The most recent arrivals to the hub include Empowering U Healthcare, a company founded in Wolverhampton which provides nurse-led home care services and community support for people with complex medical needs.

Its services include 24-hour care for adults and children, including services such as tracheostomy and ventilated care.

Director Gulshan Jakhu said: “We have been very successful in the West Midlands and Shropshire and wanted to branch out into the East Midlands and Derby, in particular.

“Our Derby office is great, value for money and is a pleasant environment with a mix of businesses and professional all around us.”
