Electrical division buy-out goes live as partnership with plumbing specialist is set to sparkle

N&P Group has added Lee Hood Electrical to the fold as it expands to serve strong commercial markets

The expertise of two successful Hull electrical contractors has been combined after N&P Group completed the purchase of Lee Hood Electrical.

The move sees 15 members of staff transfer, taking the N&P team to 50 as the company continues to expand into new markets alongside extensive work supporting the modular building sector.

Willerby Road-based Lee Hood Plumbing and Heating Ltd, a family owned business which has been established since 1995, will continue to operate its successful plumbing operation separately as its own entity, with a 22-strong team.

And the two companies say they will now work together on a number of contracts to offer a full mechanical and electrical package to clients.

“This has been a natural step for each of our businesses,” said Lee Hood.

“We were initially a plumbing and heating specialist only and we established an electrical division which itself has grown in recent years and secured many excellent contracts.

“In some ways that side of the business grew a little too much and the contracts were becoming more demanding. It made sense for us to place our focus back fully onto the mechanical side of our business, and for N&P to benefit from taking on the expertise of our team, as well as a fleet of vehicles.

“I believe this will bring benefits to both businesses in the long run, as we won’t be competing with one another, and we can actually now start combining our services on larger jobs to provide a complete service.”
