Tech firm Phoebus Software was a double winner at the 2019 Solihull BID Excellence Awards.

The town centre company, which supplies a loan and savings management system, took home the young person and corporate social responsibility awards at the ceremony.

Test analyst Alexandra Sheldon was crowned outstanding young person.

Judges described her as confident and professional with incredible knowledge of her industry, adding: "Her independent inquisitive brain means that she will certainly go far."

The company was also recognised for its corporate social responsibility work.

The annual awards celebrate both individuals, businesses and charities across seven different award categories.

More than 360 people attended the 2019 ceremony at the Voco St John's Hotel in Solihull.

Solihull BID chief executive Melanie Palmer said: "Well done to all our nominations for showcasing the success story that is Solihull and a huge congratulations to the winners and highly commended companies this year.

"Once again, the bar has been raised and the standard of applications was outstanding this year.

"Solihull is the hot spot of talent and vision that sets the standards for others to follow."
