A disability rights activist has been crowned the Future Face of Greater Birmingham at an annual business awards ceremony tonight.

The annual scheme recognised the rising stars of the region's business community aged 35 and under across ten separate categories.

Ms Dhanda won the charity and social enterprise category at the online ceremony before being picked from the group of winners to be named overall Future Face of 2020.

She will now receive a fully funded MBA from Aston University.

Ms Dhanda was born with a rare genetic condition called osteogenesis imperfecta, more commonly known as brittle bones, which affects one in every 15,000 people in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

She was inspired to become a social entrepreneur, disability specialist and advocate for culture change after suffering from discrimination and feeling underrepresented in her early life.
