A number of firms and business organisations in Derbyshire are offering free help and support
to businesses which are being hardest hit by the coronavirus outbreak.

businesses have seen their trade slump dramatically, particularly those operating in the
hospitality sector.
Now, some companies in Derby are offering their services free of charge to help struggling
businesses get through the crisis.

Among them is design agency Think3, which is based at Connect Derby’s Marble Hall.

The firm is offering free marketing advice and graphic design services to hospitality businesses within Derby and Nottingham to help them engage with customers.
This includes things like leaflets advertising home deliveries or new social media artwork.
Gaz Jones, technical director and co-founder of Think3, said: “As a small business ourselves,
we understand the uncertainty that small firms are facing - and will continue to face over the
next few weeks and months. We want to help.”
Think3 is a Marketing Derby bondholder – and the inward investment agency has been doing its bit to support firms across the city and county.

its activities, where they can share free services and best practice, particularly when it comes to home-working.
Meanwhile, East Midlands Chamber and the D2N2 Growth Hub have established dedicated
website pages where businesses can access help and advice on the support available to them.
Elizabeth Fagan, chairman of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, which covers Derby,
Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, said: “Our communities, high streets, cultural
venues, and tourist attractions are feeling the immediate impact, while key sectors such as
aviation face unprecedented challenges.
“We know that our region is a place that pulls together, and I ask everyone to support each
other and work together throughout the coming months.
“We are actively working with our national, regional, and local partners to ensure our businesses have access to all the information and guidance required.
“We will continue to work with our partners in local authorities who will be at the front line of
distributing the financial aid package of grants and rate relief needed for our businesses.
“Our immediate focus will be to support them by sign-posting businesses to the right support
and application processes.
“However, it may take a short period to be able to provide clarity on all the support available in this ever-changing situation.
“D2N2 is actively working through our Growth Hub to provide the latest information for businesses.”
