A Derby-based social care company is defying the predicted economic effects of Covid-19 by announcing expansion plans.

Despite anticipated job cuts caused by the coronavirus crisis, Locally We Do is on the look-out for new team members.

Husband-and-wife team Damian and Helena Doras are looking for couples and individuals to come on board to help the firm cope with an increasing demand for assisted living services.

The initial vacancies are for an operations co-ordinator, gardeners / handymen or women, cleaners and home helpers. The company is keen to hear from couples who want to be trained up to run specific areas as the business develops.

The company helps vulnerable people, such as the elderly or disabled, to live independently by providing a range of support services.

From August 1, the business, which has a franchise option, is going live as a limited company developing from its current partnership.

Damian said: “Myself and Helena run the business together. Helena heads up the in-home social care services side such as shopping, cleaning, laundry and home help assistance, and I run the gardening, handyman, property maintenance, home renovations and garden redesign side.

“In the next year or so, we are aiming to have some key couples on board to be running the head office area here in Derby, with others helping to develop franchises in the surrounding areas.
