A Derby recruitment firm has signed deals with new clients after targeting sectors where the jobs market is thriving.

Sky Recruitment Solutions, based in the Strand, has recently secured client wins in the construction and medical supplies sectors after adapting its business approach during the lockdown.

The firm has clinched a deal with Pennine Healthcare, based in City Gate, Derby, which is one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s leading privately-owned manufacturers of single use, sterile medical devices.

And it has also signed an agreement with Pride Park-based Hodgkinson Builders, which supplies bricklayers to construction projects across the region.

Like Sky Recruitment Solutions, both firms are fellow Marketing Derby bondholders.

David Torrington, managing director at Sky Recruitment Solutions, said: “In the space of three months the country has gone from record employment to virtually the opposite.”

“But while a widely reported 126% increase in unemployment since the start of April has seen a lot of companies reduce their commitment to recruitment and marketing, we have taken an adventurous approach to business.

“There’s no doubt that manufacturing has been badly hit by the lockdown, but industries such as medical supplies have continued to thrive – and both the volume and the calibre of the labour pool available to us in servicing those clients has reached an extraordinary new level.”
