A Derby marketing agency is celebrating after being named finalists in several categories in a competition which celebrates the best public relations firms in the region.

Balls2 Marketing, which is based in Allestree, has been shortlisted in three categories for the forthcoming CIPR Midlands PRide Awards 2019.

The firm, which was founded by Andy and Sarah Ball, is up for Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy, Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy, and Construction, Property or Infrastructure Campaign for the launch of Certass Trade Association for local glazing installers.

Sarah, who is client strategy director at the firm, said: “It’s always great to be a finalist for a PRide Award - so, to be on the shortlist for three is just fantastic.

“These awards recognise outstanding work delivered to clients and employers across the Midlands and to be a finalist really does prove that you’re an industry leader in your area, as well as giving the team a great boost.”

Sarah has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for more than 10 years, serving as a volunteer committee member of CIPR Midlands since 2016.

She said: “You really can’t underestimate the importance of CIPR for marketing professionals.

“Not only does it highlight the importance of ethics in all aspects of what we do, but the training courses they offer are key to helping your team grow as individuals.
