Defence firm Leonardo reopens return to work to programme

The scheme is being run across the company's sites in Bristol, Edinburgh, Luton, Southampton, Newcastle, Lincoln and Basildon

Engineers struggling to return to work after a career break are being invited to consider a new jobs programme.

Aerospace and defence giant Leonardo is working with STEM Returners to run the scheme across its sites in Bristol, Edinburgh, Luton, Southampton, Newcastle, Lincoln and Basildon.

Over the past five years, 45 professionals have joined Leonardo through the programme.

STEM Returners aims to eliminate barriers facing people looking to return to work by giving candidates work experience and mentoring, as well as supporting them to adjust to life back in a job.

Natalie Desty, director of STEM Returners, said: “Leonardo 海角视频 has become one of our most supportive allies in updating outmoded attitudes to career breaks, helping us return nearly 50 people back into the industry.

"We are very proud to be continuing our partnership with Leonardo and hope it will enable more people to return to the profession they love.”
