Coronavirus forces chamber's Future Faces Awards to go online

Sixth annual awards celebrating up-and-coming business talent in Greater Birmingham will be hosted as a virtual ceremony in August

The Future Faces Awards will take place for a sixth time later this year but will be online only

An award ceremony celebrating Greater Birmingham's up-and-coming business talent will now be held online later this year due to coronavirus restrictions.

The sixth annual Future Faces Awards, which is run by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, will again celebrate the brightest under 35s across a broad range of categories.

This year's event will have ten separate categories from which an overall Future Face of 2020 will be chosen, with the awards featuring a new category to mark the city region's top apprentice.

A separate ambassador award will also be presented but this is only open to members of the Future Faces networking group.

The awards are normally hosted in September at a city centre venue but this year will be shown live on the chamber's website on August 28.

The categories are:

- Apprentice of the Year

- Arts and Culture
