Mr Duddridge passed away unexpectedly at his home in South East Cornwall on May 16 2023 at the age of 60. Mr Duddridge had been chair of the LEP since 2016 following a 20-year career in the food industry. He was an ambassador for Cornwall, its businesses, and the wider economic and social aspirations of the county.

The memorial event will include recollections from people who knew and worked with Mr Duddridge throughout his professional life and will reflect on the tremendous contribution he made to Cornwall and Scilly.

Current LEP chair Emma Hunt said: 鈥淭his is an opportunity to celebrate Mark鈥檚 professional life and work, and the enormous impact he had on shaping our region thanks to his tireless energy, enthusiasm, and passion.

鈥淢ark was a generous, selfless and good-humoured champion for Cornwall and Scilly and we look forward to reflecting on his many achievements.鈥

Anyone interested in attending the memorial event is asked to pre-register via Eventbrite so that the organisers have an idea of the number of guests to be expected on the day.
