Businesses based all across the North West have announced a series of top hires and promotions over the last week.
Household names including the likes of The Co-op, EY and AJ Bell have all made major moves alongside businesses such as N Brown, Bensons for Beds and Together.
Below, we round up the latest hires and promotions from across the North West that we feel you should not miss.

The Co-op
The Co-operative Group has announced that Debbie White will become its new chair when Allan Leighton steps down from the role in February 2024.
Mrs White has held a series of significant and complex Executive roles, including group chief executive of Interserve and global CEO for healthcare and government at Sodexo.
More recently she has held a number of non-executive roles, including senior independent director at Spire Healthcare Group plc, Howden Joinery Group PLC and PAVmed Inc.
EY

EY has confirmed the appointment of nine new partners across its Manchester and Liverpool offices.
The new appointments include eight promotions in Manchester and one promotion in Liverpool. Their roles span technology and business consulting, turnaround and restructuring strategy, people advisory services, law and global compliance and reporting.
A third of the new partners appointed in the North West are women.
Stephen Church, EY’s north market leader, said: "The new partner appointments continue our investment in the region as we look to expand the range of skills and services we’re able to provide to clients. EY is on track for its third year of double-digit growth in the 海角视频 and these appointments put us in a great position to continue this trajectory in the years ahead."
N Brown
Fashion group N Brown has confirmed that Gill Barr and Richard Moross have stepped down as directors.
Meg Lustman will succeed Gill Barr as the chair of the remuneration committee and a member of the nominations and governance committee.
Following these changes, the board will comprise the chair, the group CEO and CFO and six non-executive directors, four of whom are considered to be independent.
AJ Bell

Salford-headquartered AJ Bell has announced the appointment of Les Platts as a non-independent non-executive director.
Mr Platts, a former Deloitte senior partner, was the chair of the company before stepping down at the conclusion of the January 2022 AGM, having then served for more than nine years on the board.
He currently has an interest in 310,447 shares in the company which represents 0.0753% of the issued share capital.
Dutton Gregory Solicitors
Dutton Gregory Solicitors has made a trio of new appointments at its Liverpool office.
Gayle Hough and Daniel Leith have joined as residential property executives while Kalia Walker has joined as a legal assistant.
Alex Gregory-Chialton, office and business development manager for the North, said: "We are thrilled to have appointed three new team members with the experience and knowledge to help develop the service offering from our growing Liverpool office."
Stärka
Cheshire-based real estate advisory business Stärka has appointed Lauren Gavaghan as acquisitions and development consultant.
Joining Stärka from Bruntwood, she will help grow the business’ client base and support recent agency client wins, including Gravity, Bean Coffee Roasters and Parthian Climbing.
She said: "Stärka is one of the most forward-thinking and committed teams in the industry, and it has been inspiring to watch its growth over the last 18 months. I am excited to have the opportunity to join the dynamic team, and I am in the right place to add the most value to the industry I am so passionate about."
Bensons for Beds
Lancashire-headquartered Bensons for Beds has appointed Lindsay Haselhurst as a non-executive director.
Lindsay Haselhurst is now chief operating officer at Currys, responsible for channels, operations and B2B having joined the technology retailer in 2020 as chief supply chain officer leading its supply chain and end-to-end customer experience.
Prior to Currys, she worked at Kingfisher plc, joining Screwfix as supply chain and operations director in 2014 before progressing to global supply and logistics director for the group.
She previously held a number of senior roles at logistics giant Wincanton across 海角视频 and Europe.
Vision One
Liverpool.-based market research and insight consultancy Vision One has appointed Alex Brown to the newly-created role of director of insights.
Founder and CEO Tony Lewis said: "I am delighted that Alex has been appointed to the board as director of insights.
"His previous accomplishments and change management expertise will be vital to us, ensuring we continue to evolve and deliver exceptional projects for our clients."
Together
Cheadle-based Together has promoted corporate finance expert Chris Baguley to a new role.
He has now taken up the position of group channel development director, a new role to provide strategic support and to launch new initiatives, aimed at further building the business’s brand across commercial and personal finance markets.
Having joined the property lender in 2006, his most recent position was managing director of corporate.
He previously held senior posts at Manchester Building Society and Yorkshire Bank, where he specialised in commercial banking, during a career spanning nearly 35 years.
OHS
Manchester-headquartered OHS Group has appointed Nick Bye as its new managing director.
Mr Bye, formerly group commercial director at OHS Group, takes over from Andy Fowler who will remain involved as an advisor to the business and will, in the short term, continue to oversee the business’s asbestos division.
Aaron Dodd will move into the position of group compliance director after being with the company for three years and Gareth Cooper will also return to the firm as head of operations (asbestos).
UBS Global Wealth Management
UBS Global Wealth Management has announced that Andrew Carroll has joined the firm in Manchester as a senior financial planner.
He will work with regional clients in the Manchester area to help them reach their long-term financial goals, guided by the global expertise of UBS.
Jane Booth, head of the Manchester office, said: "On behalf of UBS, we are pleased to welcome Andy to the team.
"Andy is a high-caliber individual, whose skills and insights will be integral to the ongoing success of our business in the North West. His appointment provides us with an opportunity to build on the new client engagements we’ve secured in recent months and helps to position the office in Manchester for further growth."
Somo Bridging
Greater Manchester-based specialist lending firm Somo Bridging has added two new underwriters, Salman Ali and Harvey Wood.
They will both be responsible for risk assessment, risk mitigation and assessing loan applications.
Salman Ali said: "During my six years in finance, I’d heard great things about Somo and was aware they had a fantastic reputation for their diverse product range, particularly their valuation only and second charge products."
Harvey Woods added: "I joined Somo because I’d heard great things about the lender and I’ve been given the chance to grow in my career here."
