A contract cleaning company has launched a new service aimed at deep cleaning and sanitising business premises.

Stoke-on-Trent-based 1st Time Clean was due to launch the new system in the summer, but has brought it forward in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The family-run company - which employs 30 people - has contracts across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and says they've had more enquiries since the COVID-19 outbreak.

The new system involves an encapsulation process to sanitise an area to help with infection control.

Forty four-year-old Clint Parr took over the running of 1st Time Clean from his father five years ago.

He said: "We were always planning to launch this service later in the year but since the coronavirus outbreak we have been asked more and more about deep cleans so we’ve decided to bring it forward in response.

"The system involves an electronic back-pack sprayer with a specialist disinfectant. When it’s in action the droplets hit a surface and through electrostatics they create an even spread of chemicals over and around it.

“I think now more than ever because of the severity of the situation businesses are even more aware of the need for hygiene and cleanliness. We’ve already seen that from the amount of calls we’ve received.
