Cheshire-based Tidy Tot sees overseas demand soar as it enters Chinese market

A Wilmslow-based company that sells baby bibs and trays has seen its overseas demand grow significantly.

Tidy Tot, which exports to more than 25 countries, has estimated 1 in 10 babies in Hong Kong own one of its products.

This year saw Tidy Tot enter the Chinese market, with sales of more than £200,000 planned in China for 2020.

Its main export markets are Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Canada, France and Spain.

Since its creation, Tidy Tot has been working with the Department for International Trade (DIT) on its export strategy.

Ms Unsworth said: “We’ve been really encouraged by how well our products have been received in a number of countries, and thanks to DIT we’ve been able to grow our exports year on year.

“Just this week we’ve launched a new product, the Cover & Catch bib and this is testament to the quality of our product and the growth of demand around the world.
