Cardiff-based specialist service provider to the energy sector, Celtic Utilities Group, has expanded via acquisition. Advised by law firm Hugh James it has acquired leading perimeter security systems provider in Cheshire-based Electrafence.
Celtic Utilities Group's offer includes transformer installation and sustainable civil engineering solutions. The group also includes Celtic Recycling, Transerv Europe and ReGen Construction.
Electrafence is a leading º£½ÇÊÓÆµ provider of perimeter security, civil engineering contracting services, and low-carbon fencing. It designs and installs solutions for a diverse client portfolio including National Grid, South-West Water, Balfour Beatty, Siemens, and ABB, many of whom are existing Celtic Utilities Group customers.
The deal, the value of which has not been disclosed, strengthens Celtic Utilities Group’s market position by adding provision of perimeter security and low-carbon fencing solutions to its portfolio.
Gerallt Jones, head of corporate/commercial at Hugh James led the deal with assistance from th firm’s multidisciplinary team. Azets provided corporate finance advice.
