Carmarthenshire care homes under new ownership

In another sector deal a care home in Caldicot is also under new ownership

Two care homes in Carmarthenshire have come under new ownership. n a deal that also includes a care home in Berskshire, Oakview Care Services has sold its Bryn Y Wawr and Clynsaer homes to Cygnet.

Care sector legal specialist RWK Goodman advised on Oakview Care Services on the disposals, The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Bryn Y Wawr in Llandeilo provides residential care for up to 10 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and associated complex needs, while Clynsaer in Llandovery provides space for 11 residents.

The deal marks the latest addition to Cygnet’s portfolio of properties, which services more than 800 residents and service users across 74 residential, supported living, nursing home, and day services across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.

Partner and co-head of RWK Goodman’s health and social Care team Hazel Phillips and associate Yasmine Grove led on the deal, with associate Chris Amys and associate Layla Banfield advising on employment and real estate needs respectively.

The sale was arranged by Richard Musto from care home agent The Confidential Register.

Ms Phillips said: “These three Oakview Care homes provide much needed and crucial services within Carmarthenshire and Berkshire, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide our legal expertise on behalf of Oakview to ensure these properties fit in well to the wider Cygnet group.

“Every aspect of this deal required a strong consideration not just of the aims of the overall business, but ensuring the residents in these homes will continue to get the highest quality of care and support going forward, and it’s a privilege to be able to assist in that manner with our support.”
