Administrators have been appointed for a company involved with a string of care homes and luxury hotels around the 海角视频.
London-based Quantuma LLP will handle the administration of Carlauren Lifestyle Resorts Ltd, a Yeovil-based holding company formerly known as the Care Home Group Ltd.
The company has Sean Murray named as its only director. He is also a director of several other firms, including others named Carlauren, including a separate firm named Carlauren Resorts, and Heritage Hotels, which are not part of the administration.

Heritage Hotels owns and is based at the Grade II listed Langdon Court Hotel manor house, once home to Henry VIII’s wife Catherine Parr just outside Plymouth.
It is not part of the administration but , for which Carlauren Group is the majority shareholder.
The Carlauren Group has been dogged with problems and is understood to have had some financial issues. A petition to wind up an associated company, CHF 3 Limited which trades from the same address as Carlauren Group and also has Mr Murray as a director, has been presented by a creditor at the High Court in Manchester.
In June 2019 Carlauren Group abandoned plans to develop a luxury hotel and a lavish “Ibiza style” beach club on the Isle of Wight, as an investigation was launched into one of the contractors on the project.

In July 2019, care home Tyndale House, in Somerset, was closed by Carlauren Group with only a week's notice due to financial losses after several of its 26-strong workforce were paid late. The local authority stepped in to provide accommodation for residents.

Now a notice, as administrators in the High Court of Justice, Business and Property Courts of England and Wales, in the Insolvency and Companies List.
It gives Carlauren Lifestyle Resorts’ nature of business as: “Activities of other holding companies not elsewhere classified”.
Quantuma declined Business Live's invitation to issues a statement about the administration.
In addition to directly managing and operating resorts and hotels, Carlauren Group also runs residential and care facilities, and has architecture, engineering and interior design divisions among other sections and associated companies.
The business’s website said Carlauren is “creating and managing a new genre of medium to long-term resort accommodation”.
It also defined activities of the group and said: “We are a unique and innovative developer of living accommodation, creating lifestyle resorts, retirement and care homes, with luxurious quality and a commitment to the comfort and care of every guest.

Chief executive Andrew Jamieson stressed that Carlauren Group is an “umbrella” company which has many other firms associated with it and that not all of them will fall under the administration.
