Cardiff Met University offering new aviation management degree

The industry focused degree is a partnership with Cardiff Airport and Florida-based Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide.

Cardiff Metropolitan University is partnering with a US university and an airport to deliver a new aviation management degree.

The BA (Hons) aviation management programme is being delivered alongside Cardiff Airport and Florida-based Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Students on the full-time three-year course will study latest aviation management theories, systems and practices to ensure meaningful employment in the industry.

The course, which is currently accepting applications via UCAS, will also provide understanding of all aspects of aviation law, aviation strategic management, aerospace safety, airline management and employment issues relating to the industry.

Cardiff Met students will benefit from a close working relationship with staff at Cardiff Airport. Work experience modules will enable students to take part in focused work placements in a variety of areas and there will also be opportunities to create bespoke research projects.

Embry-Riddle teaches over 22,000 students online at more than 110 campuses – offering Cardiff Met students the opportunity to engage and collaborate with students globally.

The degree will have focus on employability, with networking opportunities existing with both Cardiff Airport and Embry-Riddle.
