One of Wales' leading recruitment firms is planning for future growth after a record year in business. ALS People, based in Caerphilly, has announced that it has achieved a turnover of £50m.

Chief executive Steve Lanigan said the milestone and the company's underlying profits have "set the foundations for future growth".

He said: "In 2020, we saw a rapid expansion of our temporary worker section as businesses required urgent help. Before the pandemic, we were ahead of the curve, operating with a limited office infrastructure with regional support in key º£½ÇÊÓƵ areas.

ALS, which employs 42 staff, was listed on the Fast Growth 50 in 2022 after achieving record growth of £17million during the 2021 / 2022 period, more than doubling revenue in the last two years.

The firm provides flexible workforce solutions to clients within specialist sectors, including recycling, manufacturing and logistics. It recently gained a GLAA licence, allowing it to expand its services to the food industry.
