The finalists of the BristolLive Business Awards 2022 have been announced. The annual ceremony, run in association with BusinessLive and newspaper Bristol Post, recognises the city’s most successful companies, bringing together senior leaders from wide-ranging industries, from large corporates to fast-growing start-ups.
Despite a challenging year for business, amid rising inflation and political and economic turmoil, many firms have been quick to adapt and innovate - and as a result are thriving. It’s these efforts the awards will celebrate.
The BristolLive Business Awards also recognise individual talent, whether an entrepreneur who has launched a company and grown it successfully or a star employee who has stood out from all others.
The winners will be revealed at a special event at Ashton Gate Stadium on November 24, including the three new award categories - Manufacturer of the Year; Diversity and Inclusion Award; and the High Growth and Ambition Award.
The black-tie ceremony, which includes a three-course dinner, will also see former SAS soldier and SAS: Who Dares Wins television star Colin MacLachlan taking to the stage to share his leadership secrets.
Mr MacLachlan has spent more than 25 years dealing with scenarios of security and high risk. Involved in several of the most high-profile SAS missions, he is one of few who can say they have both rescued hostages and been a hostage themself. He will be talking about his time in the military and the lessons he learnt in life-risking situations at the event.
