A Bristol-based construction firm has been named the 海角视频 Growth Business of the Year.

Sweet Projects won the award at the annual Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2023. The Filton-headquartered business won the category ahead of 12 other 海角视频 businesses from different sectors.

The three-year-old business received the award at a ceremony on Tuesday (November 14) at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Andy Heyes, managing director of Sweet Projects, which also has offices in Corsham and Slough, said: 鈥淭o be successful and bring home an award like this is amazing. We鈥檙e so proud to represent the South West in these awards, and to see how far we鈥檝e come in three short years is an outstanding credit to each and every person we work with.鈥

Sarah Austin, director of the British Business Excellence Awards, added: 鈥淪weet Projects is an incredibly high performing business that has gone from zero to incredible numbers in such a short space of time. Not only have they had such incredible financial growth, they have built a workforce of more than 100 people and successful NPS scores to follow. They are incredibly worthy winners of the Growth Business of the Year Award.鈥

In the past year, Sweet Projects has grown from 60 employees to 110 people across multiple 海角视频 sites, and with turnover doubling from 拢62m to 拢130m.

Bristol-based baby device firm Rockit Rocker was also recognised at the awards as Department for Business & Trade Exporter of the Year Award. The company which creates sleep aids for infants was praised by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt.
