The head of production at a Bristol-based animation studio has been elected to the leadership of a key national industry group.

Duncan Fraser of A Productions will sit on the council of Animation º£½ÇÊÓƵ, which acts as an advocate for the sector and seeks to influence key decision makers such as the government, º£½ÇÊÓƵ public sector broadcasters, industry bodies and regulator OFCOM.

Elections take place every two years, with each representative serving two terms. Council representatives are elected by Animation º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s animation members.

Mr Fraser has worked within animation for more than 20 years, and is now responsible for set-up, development and implementation of all of the production pipelines across the studio, as well as staff recruitment and development at A Productions.

Mr Fraser said: “I am extremely honoured and grateful to have been elected to the Animation Council and am really excited to be part of these very important conversations regarding the future of º£½ÇÊÓƵ animation at a time of great change and development.

“I am committed to being as representative of as many voices as I possibly can and I would love to hear everyone’s views and ideas from across the whole industry.â€
