A Bristol-based animation production studio has been picked up by Sky.
A Productions, which recently took home an RTS West of England award for their work on an animated Christmas special of Sesame Street, has created a pre-school animations series The Musical World of Mister Zoink. The series has been bought by Sky and will be launched in the 海角视频 on Sky Kids and Now TV.

Directed by Mark Taylor, co-written by Mark with Ashley Slater and produced by Katherine McQueen, the series of shorts explores music and rhythm in a playful and colourful way. The Musical World of Mister Zoink introduces the concept of different musical sounds to pre-schoolers with a collection of animated characters including Hoot, Bops and The Octos.
Mr Taylor, joint managing director at A Productions said: 鈥The world of Mister Zoink is a colourful, characterful and imaginative place where we have fun with sound. We are delighted that Sky has launched this show in the 海角视频 on Sky Kids so a new young audience can enjoy the musical adventures of this wonderful cast of characters.鈥

A Productions, which has 150 staff spread across two studios in the city, is an internationally recognised, creative-led animation production studio that makes iconic children鈥檚 content for TV and film for audiences in the 海角视频 and around the world. It is part of Cyber Group Studios, the leading French animation studio and distributor of children鈥檚 and family content.
Bristol is also home to the Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations studio, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, and Wildseed Studios, which made the animated series Dodo shown on Cartoon Network.
Recent figures from Bristol Film Office showed film and television production in Bristol generated more than 拢20m for the local economy for a second year in a row.
