A Bristol advertising agency has been awarded four Creative Circle awards for its work with Waterstones to support early years reading.

McCann Bristol received three gold and one silver accolade for its work with the British book retailer.

The Waterstones ‘Stories That Grow’ campaign was launched for World Book Day and features a series of stories that appear to mature as you read them with each story made up of lines and phrases borrowed from different, well-known books.

Actors Stephen Mangan and Ann-Marie Duff lent their voice to the radio, taking listeners on a "journey from infant to adulthood in just 60 seconds", with the illustrations in the print ads being the result of a collaboration between Ƶ schoolchildren and adult artists.

Additionally, McCann creative Emily Cuthbert was also recognised as a finalist in the ‘new talent’ category.
