Events taking place during the 2023 Leicester Business Festival are now live on the official website for visitors to book their places.
This year’s festival kicks off in just one month on November 6, and is backed by businesses and institutions including De Montfort University, Pattersons Commercial Law, University of Leicester, Everards of Leicestershire, The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, Leicester Hospitals Charity and TheMusicLicence, by PPL PRS.
In recent years the festival has become a firm fixture in the calendar for the business community, offering a fortnight of free events that showcase success, celebrate collaboration, and promote innovation.
Each event is unique and focuses on key business areas such as wellbeing, sustainability, policy, finance, legal support and marketing. Events will be a mix of live and online.
Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to book sooner rather than later as events have limited spaces. A taster of the fortnight’s line-up includes:
- The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Business Practices - (Tuesday 7 November, 8.30am - 10.30am).
- Activating Inclusive Growth and Innovation | Money to Grow your Business | Routes to Funding - (Friday 10 November, 10am - 1pm).
- Pool & Property - (Tuesday 14 November, 4pm - 6.15pm).
- Green Goals - Creating a local sustainability sporting network - (Wednesday 15 November, 12pm - 1.30pm).
- Introduction to Sustainable Business Practices: Key Tips, Insights and Practical Guidance - (Wednesday 15 November, 2-4pm).
- The Power of Choice - Responding Resourcefully Under Pressure - (Friday 17 November, 11.30am - 1pm).
Helen Donnellan, director of research and enterprise at De Montfort University, which is a festival partner, said: “Each year the festival creates a platform to collectively share knowledge, expertise, and skills from across the business sector.
“Great things happen when people get together with a shared mission.
“The festival is always full of events that equip people with tried and tested tactics to navigate the ever-changing world of business.
“Everyone involved with the festival is committed to making it a success. Whatever stage you are at in your career you can gain something from the festival.
“It only happens once a year and now is the time to get dates booked in your diary and reserve your place.
“By getting involved in the festival you are adding value to your own professional development and to working in Leicester and Leicestershire.”
Up to 80 events will be running during the festival fortnight which runs from 6 - 17 November. In the lead up organisers are adding selected events to the diary.
