Bolton Wanderers have reported pre-tax losses of almost £4m for their latest financial year which was impacted by the Covic-19 pandemic.

For the 12 months to June 30, 2020, the club have reported losses of £3.8m, while their turnover totalled £9.3m.

The club's wage bill stood at £7.4m for the year.

The accounts have been filed by Football Ventures (Whites) Limited, which took over the Trotters in August 2019.

The 2019/20 season was suspended midway through March 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The League One campaign did not resume as the table was worked out via a points per game model, which saw Wanderers relegated to League Two.

The club have since won promotion back to League One under Ian Evatt and funding was committed from shareholders to see the club through the successful 2020/21 season which took place behind closed doors without supporters in attendance.

Bolton Wanderers have also announced that their official shirt sponsor, Home Bargains, has renewed its partnership with the club for the 2021/22 League One campaign.
