The Birmingham Publicity Association (BPA) has welcomed its new president Steve Price.

Mr Price is a partner at Birmingham-based digital creative agency One Black Bear and will now lead the organisation which brings together people from the creative industries and raises money for charity.

The body's 67th AGM was held at Fazeley Studios, in Digbeth, and saw former president and Heart FM DJ Ed James pass the mantel on.

Mr Price has been involved with the BPA , previously known as PACE, for more than six years, most recently as chairman of the council.

He has worked in the creative industries for more than 25 years and said he planned to help the BPA continue to modernise and broaden its appeal in Birmingham.

It is due to announce soon its chosen charity for 2015 to 2017, having raised almost £20,000 for Help Harry Help Others and the National Advertising Benevolent Society over the past two years.

Mr Price said: "The BPA is very close to my heart and is an organisation I feel passionately about so I'm very honoured to be elected president.

"Birmingham is both proud and diverse and the creative industries are the lifeblood of the city, bringing on new talent and making it an attractive destination in which to live and work.
