The Birmingham Post Business Awards are back for 2021 and we look forward to celebrating the best that business has to offer from Birmingham and its surrounding areas.
The awards will be held in a virtual ceremony on June 15, with nominations open until April 19. We want nominations from businesses and individuals which feel that they have managed to achieve something truly special over the last year.
The coronavirus pandemic has meant that various businesses across Birmingham and the surrounding areas have had to work harder than ever before to keep going and if possible keep growing - persevering and succeeding against the odds.
We want to show some recognition for such businesses and individuals, and have 11 categories in which you can nominate - including New Business of the Year, Green Business of the year and a new Covid Defiance Award.
The competition is already pretty fierce, with various businesses submitting themselves and their impressive accomplishments - so if you feel yourself or business deserves recognition

There are a variety of ways that a business can succeed and be worthy of a nomination for the awards - the companies below are just some examples of the brilliant work taking place in Birmingham.
Have you recently expanded like Birmingham based firm Key Land Capital - which has expanded its services and taken over management of two office buildings? The Birmingham-based company's management division will collaborate with property developers, to ensure that their investments and properties reach their full potential.

Or perhaps your business has rebranded and taken a new direction - like Spitfire homes, which recently unveiled a £350m development pipeline to build 1,000 houses. The Solihull-based business aims to undertake these new developments in Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire to name just a few places.
Maybe your business has recently won new contracts like M3 - an advertising agency that recently won its latest brief to promote legendary Birmingham automotive brand MG Motor 海角视频. M3 has been tasked with extending the reach of MG Motor further across the 海角视频 and even into international markets - with extra focus on electric vehicles.
Opening a new business in lockdown is not for the faint of heart but maybe you took the plunge like Rob Freer and David Newton - who co-founded NewHall Capital with the aim of supporting small companies across the Midlands. Rob and David have pooled over three decades of experience to assist small and medium enterprises in the region.
Mr Freer said: "The SME sector in the Midlands has been underserved for too long. Despite the uncertainty caused by the Government's ongoing coronavirus lockdown, local businesses are keen for investment to grow their businesses, delivering on their existing plans or accelerating new opportunities.
Or perhaps you’re like one of this year's nominees, Edgbaston Stadium. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Edgbaston has worked hard to maintain a covid-secure environment so the stadium could be used as an NHS test centre, food bank and more recently a vaccination centre.
In addition, Edgbaston has striven to become a leader in recovery featuring as a venue during the Government’s spectator pilot programmes. Edgbaston helped to ensure cricket went ahead behind closed doors and hosted multiple safe events to support essential business activities.

Throughout all of this, the experience of fans, clients and stakeholders continued to be at the forefront with investments in a live stream service so supporters could follow the games from home. Edgbaston also developed a number of new conference and events packages, offering the ability to host virtual and hybrid events.
