A workforce management firm has been acquired by global group Assa Abloy.

Solihull-based Biosite Systems creates products aimed at helping security, staff management and safety on construction sites, including an access system which recognises low-quality fingerprints of workers.

It was founded in 2010 and has grown to employ around 140 staff and reach £14 million in turnover.

Swedish group Assa Abloy specialises in locks, gates and entrance systems and operates across the world.

It has 32 offices across the country including in Wolverhampton, Telford, Walsall and its º£½ÇÊÓƵ headquarters in Willenhall.

Biosite Systems will help to spearhead its new construction arm as part of its global solutions division, offering electronic access, software and identity products and services.

Biosite Systems' managing director Li Wang said: "With a shared vision to improve construction productivity through digitisation, a partnership with Assa Abloy made perfect sense.
