The founder of On The Beach has invested almost £2.5m in the business.

Simon Cooper, who stepped down as chief executive earlier this year, has snapped up almost three million extra shares in the listed company.

The move means that Mr Cooper holds a stake of 7.51% in the Manchester-headquartered firm, making him the second largest single shareholder.
