A Yorkshire baker that produces millions of mince pies every year has revealed which flavours will be hitting shelves in the coming weeks.
BBF Limited is a leading cake and dessert manufacturer that makes more than 115 million mince pies every year for families across the 海角视频.
The company has four bakeries in the 海角视频 - Hull, Bradford, and two in Blackburn - and its team of product developers has been working with the 海角视频's biggest supermarkets to put modern twists on the classic Christmas treat.
After working for months on the new recipes the BBF has revealed that this year's must have mince pie flavour is salted caramel.
The cake will have a traditional mincemeat filling but will also contain a gooey salted caramel centre inside its buttery pastry case.
Vegan mince pies are also expected to fly off the shelves this year.
Jonathan Lill, CEO of BBF Limited, said: “We have been working closely with the 海角视频’s biggest retailers to pull out all the stops this year, by providing consumers with an array of new and exciting takes on the classic festive treat we all know and love.
“We have been working on a wide variety of different flavoured mince pies for the past few months and they can now be found on the shelves of major retailers across the 海角视频."

The team at BBF has also been working on the developing new cakes ready for Christmas 2021 and the bakery predicts that speculoo mince pies will be the big hit next year.
Speculoo biscuits come from the Netherlands and are made a type of spiced shortcrust biscuit. The company is now working to pair the biscuit with the traditional mincemeat filling.
BBF makes a wide range of cakes from Christmas favourites to celebration cakes, fruit pies and even chocolate enrobed cakes. Each year the company makes more than 600 million cakes and desserts that are sold in retailers across the country.
The business has acknowledged that while cakes and mince pies will no doubt remain popular this Christmas, families hit by the coronavirus pandemic may be forced to budget more than usual.
Mr Lill added: “After the challenging year consumers have had, due to the impact of the pandemic, many are looking to create the best Christmas experience possible this year - but on a more manageable budget, given the current economic climate.
“As consumer spending habits continue to evolve, the trend for great value indulgent treats, like mince pies, is expected to remain popular through the festive period and beyond.”
