A Silicon Valley diplomat has visited a Devon town to encourage inward investment for a new business centre.
Torbay hosted the visit by Glen Delaney, Vice-Consul from the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ’s consulate in San Francisco, who gave a talk to council and business leaders.
He visted the new EPIC Centre at Paignton - an £8m high tech business centre and met businesses in the area.

The southern part of San Francisco Bay in California became known as Silicon Valley due to the growth of global technology firms in the area.
Now, the huge business centre is aiming to attract new investment based around the region’s strengths in the aerospace, maritime and nuclear sectors.

The EPIC building in the White Rock Business Park has 40 units - 27 offices and 13 labs alongside other support facilities.
EPIC stands for Electronic and Photonics Innovation Centre and it has been purpose-built for businesses in the growing sector.
It has been developed by TDA, formerly the Torbay Development Agency, a company owned by Torbay Council to carry out its economic development function.
